Following recent Government’s advice to cease non-essential contact, the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs has postponed or cancelled all events due to take occur in the next 12 weeks.

We have therefore made the difficult decision to cancel this this year’s Country Show, which was due to take place on 30th May 2020. This is not a decision the Federation has taken lightly and we are aware that our members, sponsors and attendees will be as disappointed as we are.

We would like to thank all of those who have worked so hard in helping organise this year’s show and plans are already underway to deliver an amazing day in 2021.

The Venue – Newton Lodge Farm

The whole Davies family welcome Buckinghamshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs to their farm and wish members every success for their County Show in 2020.

Newton Lodge owned by the Davies family is predominantly an arable farm growing Milling Wheat, Malting Barley & Beans. It also has a small herd of Red Poll Beef cattle, to utilise the permanent pasture. Situated between the small market town of Olney and the river Great Ouse, it is a peaceful oasis away from the local surrounding towns of Bedford, MK & Northampton.

Rick works in partnership with his parents Mike & Chris and have diversified significantly with Office Park, industrial units, storage facility, contracting & boxed beef. Also situated at Newton Lodge is George Davies Turf, run by Rick’s elder brother, he has been trading here since 2001 and supplies Turf within a 50 mile radius of the farm.

Rick has been involved with Young Farmers since he was 10 and decided he’d like to support Newport Young Farmers by hosting this years Country Show.
